Dr David Garry’s talk covers the theory underlying haemodynamic monitoring, how we have done it up to now and why echocardiography is a good way of doing it.

He uses clinical cases to illustrate the practical everyday utility of this modality and will touch on what the future holds.
Dr Garry is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthetics at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and a FICM Trainee Representative.
