Sir Richard Peto, GTC Fellow, Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the University of Oxford, gives the annual McGovern Lecture.
This year's annual McGovern Lecture in the history of medicine sets Sir Richard Doll's contribution to our understanding of disease - especially his discovery of the link between tobacco and lung cancer - in the historical context of the span of the twentieth century.
