James Grant

Dr James Grant received his BA from Queen’s University, Canada, and his BPhil and DPhil from the University of Oxford. He was employed as a Departmental Lecturer in Philosophy at The Queen’s College, Oxford, from 2010-2012, before joining Birkbeck University in 2012. Dr Grant’s research interests are in aesthetics, ethics, and the philosophy of language. In his most recent book, The Critical Imagination (Oxford University Press, 2013), he provides a new account of the nature of art criticism.
