Tim Knowlson

Dr. Tim Knowlson headshot

 

Dr. Tim Knowlson is a registered and chartered counselling psychologist who has worked for the University of Oxford for over 12 years. He is currently service lead for student-facing training which includes Peer Support Training and Supervisions, Junior Dean Training and Supervisions and Student Welfare Rep Training as part of Student Welfare and Support Services (SWSS). Tim is very passionate about student wellbeing, student communities, student access programmes and helping people build skills for thriving. Tim set-up student access to over 60 self-help eBooks with help from staff of the Bodleian Library, which students can access 24/7. In addition to working in Higher Education, Tim has also worked in the NHS in health psychology and neuropsychological rehabilitation services.  When Tim isn’t working for Oxford he has a private consultancy where he provides clinical supervision to HE mental health professionals, speaking and lecturing opportunities, and discusses his research initiatives.
